Scope
This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and practice platform, why we collect it and the choices you have. It applies to learners, instructors on Cohort plans and visitors to the website.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Sign-up details: name, email address, the exam you are preparing for, your current stage and, optionally, your target attempt window and institution.
- Messages you send through the contact form, including the topic and any details you choose to include.
- Billing details needed to process a paid plan. Card data is handled by our payment processor and is not stored on our servers.
Information generated by practice
- Your answers, the differential you ranked at each stage, confidence ratings and time taken per question.
- Derived data such as weak-area clusters, breakdown rates, mock scores and percentiles.
Technical information
- A session cookie used to verify the quick check on our forms and to prevent repeated automated submissions.
- Standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To create your account and send your login credentials to the email you provide.
- To adapt practice sets, build weak-area reports and generate explanations based on your own attempts.
- To calculate anonymised peer percentiles for mock exams.
- To reply to messages and provide support.
- To keep the service secure, detect abuse and fix problems.
- To improve question quality, for example by flagging items with unusual error patterns for clinical review.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your practice data for third-party advertising.
Peer percentiles
Percentiles compare your mock score with others who sat the same paper. Only aggregate score distributions are used. Other learners never see your name, email or individual answers.
Cohort plans
If your account is provided by a coaching institute or college on a Cohort plan, the instructors of your batch can see your progress, weak-area clusters and mock results within their dashboard. They cannot see your billing information or messages you send us.
Sharing with service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the service, such as hosting, transactional email delivery and payment processing. They process data only on our instructions and only as needed to provide their service.
We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety and security of our users and systems.
Retention
Account and practice data are kept while your account is active so your history and weak-area profile remain available. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain records for legal or accounting purposes.
Your choices and rights
- Access or correct the details on your account.
- Request a copy of your practice history.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data.
- Opt out of non-essential emails at any time using the link in the email.
To make a request, write to us through the contact page using the email address linked to your account.
Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls and server-side checks on all forms. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login details private.
Age requirement
The service is intended for medical students and graduates. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian where local law requires it, to create an account.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email or through a notice in the dashboard before the change takes effect.
